We know that God uses all kinds of people in various ways to fulfill His will. And God the Father's will was for His Son Jesus Christ to be crucified.
When Pontius Pilate, the governor, said he was ready to release Jesus, God allowed the crowd outside to demand that His Son be crucified (Mt. 27:17)
Forty days after His resurrection, Jesus ascended into Heaven. He immediately sat down on the right hand of God the Father and began interceding (Mark 16:19) for all of us even till the day He returns.
