The Closed Door

In our daily walk, we may go in a direction that is not consistent with God's will. When this happens, we may come face to face with a closed door.

The closed door doesn't mean it's a negative move, it is just time to change directions. So, praise God for the closed door and focus on the new direction He has for you.

Earth Day

Earth Day is celebrated every year on April 22. It is the day when everyone thinks green. The idea is to provide a healthier and a longer life for all, by planting green trees and foliage.

In the Bible, in Genesis 1:1, we read where the God of creation created this earth and when He was through, He said, "it is good" (verse 10). Yes, it was created perfect. But, over the years, deterioration has become the concern of many people. God never intended for it to happen, but times change and now Earth Day is an annual occurrence.

Flight Plan

It is essential for a pilot to file a flight plan before each and every flight, regardless of the distance to be flown. It is the same as planning a vacation with your automobile. You have to know where you're going before you leave your home. If you don't plan ahead, you will end up at the wrong destination.

We read in Proverbs 16:9, "the mind of man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps". So we know God wants what is best for us.

What's your destination after death? Do you know where you're going?

Has your flight plan been filed? Have you accepted Christ as your personal Saviour? It may be a long flight, however, now is the time you should consider filing that flight plan.

Satisfied

Are you satisfied with your life? On a day-to-day basis, do you become confused, or are you content with all that you do?

In the Bible, Philippians the fourth chapter, the apostle Paul says, "I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content". In Hebrews 13:5, Paul, again tells us, "we should be content with what we have". His reasoning behind this is clear when he goes on to say "God will never leave you nor forsake you".

After all, being content in everything that we do, does not mean we are willing to accept everything that comes along. In Psalm 145:18 we are told God is with us. Knowing He is with us is the important thing and that is what allows us to be content and satisfied.

Molded Right

As the clay is molded by the potter and the potter's wheel is spinning, the clay takes on many changes before the object is completed. So it is with you and me: we take on many changes during our lifetime.

In Isaiah 64:8, God is the potter and we are the clay. So, if we look to Him, we can be the work of His hands and be molded in the direction that would be best for us.

Over forty years ago, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had no intention of becoming a leader in a movement that would put him in the forefront of his generation. But, life can change in a way comparable to the way a potter changes the object he is crafting. On the fourth of April, the nation celebrates the death of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who became a leader in his own right.

Let each one of us commit ourselves to God, and allow Him to be our guide according to His will, then, we will be Molded Right.
