Our Helper

When you celebrate a special anniversary, you will spend some time recalling those special memories during the past year. So many good memories fill your mind, you wonder what is in store for you in the coming year.

While you're thinking about the past, now is the time to plan ahead for the future. Whatever your plans will be, make them big, big enough so you'll need God's help to bring them to fruition.

We know that God is dependable and that's important if we're going to include Him in our plans for the coming year. In the book of Hebrews chapter 13 and verses 5 & 6, the apostle Paul strengthens this fact when he mentions that God will never leave us. Then he says that God will be Our Helper. And that's all we have to know to get the new year started.

Does God Really Care?

On 9/11/01 a major tragedy occurred and many people asked the question, "Does God Really Care?" Before and since that time many tragedies of major consequence continue to happen, and that same question is still asked.

A loving God, who has taken six days to create this world and everything in it, surely would care what happens to it. This is confirmed in the Holy Bible, God's Word, in I Peter 5:7. Peter, the author, says it simply and plainly, "God cares for you". Another way of saying it, is, when we cast all our care on God, He cares for us.

So, let God have all your worries and cares, for He is always thinking about you and me and watching everything that concerns us! Yes, I would say, God really does care.

One Of A Kind

When you have so much to do and don't know which way to turn, you become frustrated. You have enough work for two people, but, you are only one person. God created us to be One Of A Kind--we are nothing more and nothing less.

Speaking of God, we know Him as our Creator who is One Of A Kind and as we read in Revelation 11:17, "God is the One who Is, the One who Was, and the One who is to Come". He always has been, always is and always will be ONE OF A KIND. Do you know Him?

Patience

We say that we have patience, but do we really have the patience we claim to have? When we have to be at a certain place at a certain time and traffic is backed up, we lose our patience because we did not allow for the delay.

God's desire is for everyone to come to know His Son as their personal saviour and He has the patience to wait for us to make up our mind (II Peter 3:9),

If you're waiting till tomorrow to make this once-in-a-lifetime decision, don't wait. God may have the patience to wait for you, but tomorrow may not even come at all. So make that decision now, while you are thinking about it.

24/7 Guaranteed

To every Christian, who accepts Jesus Christ as their personal saviour, they're aware that the Holy Spirit becomes a part of them at the same time - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (Acts 16:31).

When Jesus Christ was crucified, He took with Him all sin including our sins which went with Him to the grave.

Then when He rose on the third day (which we call Easter), salvation for all of us was completed.

Therefore, if you accept Jesus as your personal saviour, the Holy Spirit will be in you 24-7 Guaranteed (Matthew 28:20).

Patience & Worry

Sometimes it takes a super amount of patience, when we wait for God to answer our prayers. While we are waiting for His answers, we find that we pay more attention to Him, which just may be part of the reason for the delay.

In the book of Luke, and the 12th chapter, we are told not to worry, and God knows what we need before we ask Him. So have patience and don't worry - it's as simple as that.

Plan Ahead

When we go to work or make a routine trip to the store, it is not necessary to plan ahead. However, when our daily routine changes and our destination is uncertain, it's always a good idea to plan ahead.

The Bible tells us in Proverbs 16:9, "the mind of man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps." So, it's good to know the Lord lets us decide where we want to go and even better yet, knowing that God Himself, is with us in whatever direction we choose to go.

Don't be afraid to make decisions, PLAN AHEAD knowing that God is with you, no matter where you go.
