Our Changing World

This world changes so rapidly these days that the products manufactured yesterday are being redesigned today and coming off line tomorrow. Nothing remains constant.

Progress is inherent in all of us and demands change. Nothing holds it back. In the Bible, it says, "The firm foundation of God stands", II Tim. 2:19. And Solomon reminds us in Proverbs 10:25 that "the righteous has an everlasting foundation". The Lord of Hosts makes it very plain in Malachi 3:6 when He says, "I the Lord do not change".

We read in Hebrews 13:8, Jesus Christ, God's Son, is the same yesterday and today, yes, and forever. So, in this ever changing world that we live in, it is good to be a part of God's family and God Himself, who is the one true God who never changes.

Heart Donors Wanted

Have you ever considered making a heart donation? It doesn't really take that long to sign up, because there are no forms to fill out.

This is how it is done: "if you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). That's all there is to it.

If you have followed that simple procedure, your heart has been donated to God. Because it's so easy, take a minute and do it right now.

Election Qualifications

Before an election is held, candidates will declare their platform. The voters will look for the candidate that is reputable and has qualifications appropriate to the position.

In 60 A.D. Festus was elected governor of Caesarea because he had the right qualifications for the position. In Acts 25, we see Festus taking his place on the judgment seat and negotiating within the laws of the day. Also, we read that he was instrumental in securing Paul's release from prison.

Today, as in Paul's time, elections are being held and the delegates are chosen by the voters. And, in Romans 13, Paul reminds us that every person is to be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.

Making it Alone

There are times when we lose a loved one--it could be through death or separation. We who are left do have the ability to do what has to be done. If we didn't have the ability to make it on our own, it is unlikely that God would have allowed our loved one to be taken from us.

God knows the future and He knows what lies ahead for us. He knows we can make it by ourselves. Believe in Him, trust in Him. Believe in yourself, trust in yourself. You will see: you CAN make it because God is with you, even to the end of the age (Mt. 28:20).
