An unknown author once said, "you can't make someone love you, but you can make yourself into someone who can be loved". How many times have you wanted to express your love to your family, but just couldn't bring yourself around to do it? And, how many times have you wanted to express love to God and didn't do it?
Love comes from God because God is love (John 4:8). Additionally, we are told, "the love of God controls us and we desire to love God also" (II Cor. 5:14-15). Is that desire a part of your life today?
In Deut. 6:5 God wants us to love Him with all our heart, soul and mind. If you will really try to love God as He wants you to, His promise in Prov. 8:17 says, "I love those who love Me". God will not force you to love Him either - that choice is yours.
