Over two thousand years ago, God gave the world the first of two gifts. This gift was His Son Jesus Christ who was born to the Virgin Mary in Bethlehem (Luke 2:7).
Later in His life, Christ was preaching and teaching and said He was the Son of God. The people refused to believe Him and demanded He be crucified (Mark 15:13-14). After the crucifixion, a centurion who witnessed His final breath said, "truly this was the Son of God".
When Christ Jesus rose from the dead His sacrifice was completed. This was God's second gift to the world. The gift of salvation, which is still available to us today. All anyone has to do, is believe, and the gift of salvation is theirs (Eph. 2:8).
