Sometimes we ask God too bless us, and then just go on our way. We assume that, that is all we have to do to receive the blessing.
If we want to receive a blessing it is necessary to stay in touch with God, because He desires our attention and follow-through more than we realize.
Communication with God works two ways. First, we ask for a blessing and second, we stay in touch with Him. Besides, God's response can come anytime, and in this way, we will be ready for it when it comes.
