A Reminder

From the beginning of time God has allowed everyone the right to make decisions. One major decision for all of us is to decide what our destination will be after death. If you have decided to wait and think there is plenty of time, here is A Reminder.

On September 11, 2001 thousands of people began their normal workday in the World Trade Towers in Manhattan New York. Suddenly and without warning, an airplane flew into one of the 110 story towers and exploded on impact. Then a second one hit the other tower and exploded as well. In just a matter of minutes both towers fell to the ground.

Life and death is unknown. Only God knows the length of your life as stated in Deut. 32:39. God's Word-The Bible, says, "Today is the accepted time and the day of Salvation"(II Cor.6:2). There are no guarantees in life. Unless you make a decision to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, there are none in death either.

A Gift For You

What is a gift? And how much is it going to cost? First of all, it has to be free, otherwise it's not a gift. So don't ask about price. If it's a gift, its free.

Gifts come in all shapes and sizes, except a verbal gift which could be for a service provided or even a promise such as love and devotion as in a marriage vow.

But how about the gift of eternal life that God promises to those who accept Christ as their personal Saviour? This is the ultimate gift which is found in John 3:16. It is the gift that will last forever. And in order to get it, all you have to do is accept it.

The Power of One

We know that we should take ONE day at a time. But, do we really do it? It's not easy and sometimes we worry more about tomorrow than we do today!

There is only ONE person we can put our trust in, and He is our God. In Matt 28:20 we are told God is always with us, He never leaves us.

God was with us yesterday. He is with us today, and so far as tomorrow is concerned, He is already there preparing our way for us.

So don't worry about tomorrow, just do the best you can today. And remember God is our POWER OF ONE who is always there for us.

In Protective Custody

No matter where we are or where we're going, it is good to be aware of the danger that is going on around us. In the spiritual world, Satan knows every move we make and is always ready to distract and harm us.

God is the one who really cares about us. In His Word, The Bible, it says, "God will never leave us or let us down" (Heb. 13:5).

If we pray for God to place a hedge-of-protection around us daily, we will be in His "Protective Custody." He will not let us down and when Satan comes to attack us, He will be there to protect us.

Time Is Not Recyclable

If you try to recycle time by looking back to the past, it's like trying to recapture your youth. Forget the past and do not give any priority to it. It is nonproductive and without value. Moving forward should be the area of concentration.

God created the earth and our 24-hour day. He placed the earth on an axis, so as it rotates there is a new day and a new beginning. Let us look forward to it with anticipation.

Don't worry about all those things that had to be done yesterday. God knows what you need, (Mat. 6:8) so just do what you can do each day. Tomorrow is another day with a new beginning and remember--God designed it that way and he knows best.

Standing By

Life has many challenges. In many cases and many times, we don't even realize when we go through these challenges. Because the solution is so automatic, we solve the problem before it becomes a challenge.

When changes in our daily routine occur, they end up with a challenge that has to be taken care of right away. Because if we don't, it will mess up the schedule we're on. The answer to this requires help from our God. And God is waiting in the wings (so to speak). Actually, He's standing by, just waiting for us to call upon Him so He can bless us.

Helping God

In preparation for His triumphant entry on Palm Sunday, Jesus told His disciples to untie a donkey and it's colt and bring them to Him. Then He said, "If anyone should ask you what you're doing - you will say, the Lord has need of them"(see Matthew 21).

If God says to you that He needs your help, He will provide all the power you will need to do His will (II Cor. 3:5). So, don't hesitate to answer God when you hear His call.
