Nothing ever happens by itself - either you make it happen or God allows it to happen.
Oswald Chambers says, "we should be ready for God's surprises". So, how do we do that? The best way to experience God's surprises, is by living a Godly life. Then, concentrating on God Himself and living a life that is pleasing to Him.
If we go about our business in our own way, we might not see all the blessings God has for us on this earth, In fact, it is possible we could miss out on the very best He has to offer. However, nothing in this world will ever compare to the surprises God has planned for us in Heaven.
